Company

Cardinal Roofing has been in business since 2005, so it has more than 20 years of roofing experience in the Birmingham–Pelham area. It’s based at 169 Cahaba Valley Parkway in Pelham and is open 24/7.

We serve more than 1,500 customers a year and treat every project as if it were our own home.

Cardinal started in the Birmingham area in 2005 and grew into a full-service residential and commercial roofer. Today it’s part of Northpoint Roofing Systems, a regional roofing company that acquired Cardinal in 2023. The local Pelham team, phone number and service area stayed the same.

What two decades in central Alabama means for your roof:

• We know the weather. Our crews have worked through years of hail, straight-line wind and cool-season tornado damage in “Dixie Alley,” plus the summer heat that ages shingles early.
• We know the paperwork. We’ve worked with local HOAs, municipalities and insurance adjusters across Shelby and Jefferson counties for years.
• We know the products. Cardinal is a GAF Master Elite® Contractor and President’s Club Award winner, which means trained crews installing roofing systems to manufacturer spec.

A local roofer knows central Alabama’s weather, codes and neighborhoods, and can get to you fast after a storm. Birmingham sits in “Dixie Alley,” where hail, high wind, cool-season tornadoes and long, humid summers all wear roofs down faster.

Why that matters when you pick a contractor:

• Storm response. After a hail or wind event, out-of-town “storm chasers” often arrive, sell jobs and leave. A roofer based in Pelham is still here when you need a warranty call or a follow-up repair.
• Climate-appropriate systems. Heat and humidity drive attic moisture and algae streaks. Local crews plan ventilation, underlayment and shingle choice around that.
• Local rules. Many neighborhoods along US-280, in Hoover, Chelsea and Greystone, require HOA design review. Local roofers know the submissions.
• Accountability. Check for a physical local address, a working local phone, manufacturer credentials and third-party reviews.

Cardinal Roofing has worked from Pelham since 2005, is open 24/7 at (205) 769-4944, and is a GAF Master Elite® Contractor and President’s Club Award winner.

Your roof is covered by the manufacturer’s material warranty plus Cardinal Roofing’s workmanship guarantee. As a GAF Master Elite® Contractor, we can offer the GAF Golden Pledge® Limited Warranty² on qualifying GAF systems.

• Material warranty: covers manufacturing defects in the shingles and components. Installing to manufacturer spec keeps it valid.
• Enhanced GAF warranties: only GAF-certified contractors can register GAF’s enhanced warranties. The Golden Pledge® is available only from Master Elite® contractors.
• Workmanship: Cardinal stands behind its installation. Your contract spells out the workmanship terms.

Keep your paperwork. We register eligible warranties and give you copies. Questions? Call (205) 769-4944.
